3D ANIMATION

PROCESS

Visual research, creative R&D, and selected production studies.

A collection of explorations focused on developing visual languages through form, material, lighting, composition, and motion.

Each study highlights the ideas, experiments, and decisions behind the final direction

HUBLOT x J.KOONS

Type: Styleframe Development

Role: 3D Designer

Working days: 6

BRIEF:

Develop product-focused CGI styleframes based on the Creative Director's visual direction for a client pitch

OBJECTIVE:

Explore compelling ways to present the product, strengthening the visual clarity and creative range of the pitch

An exploration of the object, its components,
and structural logic, guided by space as a recurring conceptual thread.

I picked a few of the most successful directions and polished them further in post-production.

FOAM TUBECHAIR

Type: Personal R&D

Role: Art Direction \ 3D Designer

Working Days: 10

FOCUS

Create a series of images based on a single object. Make animated tests to expand expressive capabilities.
Also, make a selection for a series

CHALLENGE

Develop a cohesive series of stills and motion studies using a single object as the starting point.

OBJECTIVE

Investigate how variations in form, material behaviour, composition, and motion can generate a consistent visual language

MOOD AND REFERENCES

To warm up, let's explore the object.
Angles, composition, crop

Now let's work with the pipes separately.

NEXT
Let's try adding some foam and working on the landscape.

A few tests and trials with particle simulations and styroplast melting

Select the best shots and render them

OUTCOME

Three selected visual directions, each exploring a different approach to the original object

Type: Lighting, Camera, Look Development

Role: Art Direction / 3D Designer

Working Days: 8

TASK

Create a shot that is as close as possible to the filming example.

Create a 3D model

OBJECTIVE

Evaluate the workflow and production time required to recreate a reference shot under a fixed time constraint

ORIGINAL SHOTS
